Bloodworm Swarm and Disintegration

This shows the various elements that went into one of the more complicated shots I did for Star Trek: New Voyages/Phase II's "Blood and Fire, Part 1" wherein one of the characters is swarmed by Regulan bloodworms and mercifully disintegrated by a phaser blast.

Costume and Makeup Adjustments

One of many shots I worked on for the Star Trek: New Voyages/Phase II episode "World Enough and Time", winner of TV Guide's Best Sci-Fi Webisode award. This one required some post-production adjustments to Grace Lee Whitney's costume, makeup, and hair-styling.

Digital Cleanup and Substitution

Another shot for "World Enough...". I needed to clean up the glare on the control panel and comp in some blinking buttons. Then I comped in some artwork on the right hand side of the frame to cover up the newsprint that was originally visible there.

Greenscreen

One of a number of shots for a short film that required color-keying, compositing of a static replacement, and motion tracking.

Motion-Tracked f/x and Costume "Enhancement"

This shot for "World Enough and Time" required the layering of several effects elements, some rotoscoping of foreground actors, and an important costume adjustment.

Alana Beams Out

The good ol' Trek transporter effect: whatever would we do without it? This shot required a cross-fade from the plate containing the lovely Christina Moses to the "clean" plate, as well as the compositing of several digital effects to create the containment field around "Alana" and the beaming effect.
